Book Review 7 : Achemist by Paulo Coelho

Another powerhouse of messages about life.

I read the book, "Alchemist" twenty years ago and I have just completed my third read of the same book and each time I learn something different. During the first time, I learnt to look for omens and follow them and I formed a belief that 'when one really wants something, the entire world conspires to help achieve it'.

This time when I read it, I noticed different messages. Some of these were:

1. People are capable at any time in their life of doing what they dream of.
2. You will never be able to escape from your heart and so it is better you start listening to it.
3. I can choose to be a victim of the world or an adventurer in search of treasure. It's all a question of how I view my life.
4. There is only one way to learn. Its through action.
5. There is only one way that makes a dream impossible to achieve - fear of failure.
6. And when you can't go back...you have to worry only about the best way toy move forward.
7. Only those who find life, find the treasure...

These messages remind me that no matter how old I get, no matter how many challenges I face, listening to my heart will guide me in selecting my actions that will take me to my dreams. By living life... I will find my treasure.
